Yeah there is a large printing company in about half of our business park and they pull a lot of power. What ever is happening kills our transformer too. We are down a phase when I went back and checked our equipment. The contactors on the oven where buzzing because they couldn't hold closed and the two drill presses I checked where probably only turning 30 rpm.

It's been a while, but the oil in those transformers used to contain PCBs - pretty nasty stuff.

Watching Toyota live announcements. As expected, Corolla Cross is just announced. I wonder what other ones gonna announce today... cuz it's very LONG live stream.

The A91-CF is interesting with the turbo inline 6 but I still don't like the exterior styling. With only 600 being built they'll have a huge premium.

The 86 onstage is a much better looking than the BRZ. Still not crazy about the profile though. 6.1s/6.6s 0-60 (MT/AT). No price talk other than the "right price point". It does include a one year membership to NASA which is interesting.

If there's types of people in this world that I cannot stand, are the one-upper/ not so know-it-all. By this I mean those who constantly what to diminish whatever accomplishment or event to happens to you by saying a buddy, or themselves, did something better. Then those who pretend to be experts, but when confronted with someone who actually knows about the subject, they end up looking like fools.

This brings me to the story of a coworker that randomly showed up at my desk because he overheard that I had a BRZ/86. I guess he wants to get one.
He shows up and says " I heard you had a BRZ", to which I replied affirmatively. He then proceeds to tell me that he's buying one, a 2021, small mistake, but I say that there isn't a 2021, but there will be a new model released later this year. He continues, saying that "Yes, I drove the new one, the hatchback one" and proceeds to say how scared the dealer was after the test drive, and how well the car handled. >.> my expression goes, knowing there is no way because one, there isn't a hatchback, and two, the newer model is not in any of these small town dealerships. So then I make the remark that both things are impossible, but he is hellbent on telling me how the test drove the hatchback and that he can't wait to stuff his bike on the back trunk. I respond "Let me stop you right there, there is no way you'll be able to fit a bike (Unless it folds and its small), and there isn't a hatchback, the 86 is a sports coupe, two doors, small trunk". I suggest that he probably drove one of the latest 2020 models and that he should probably wait until the newer ones comes out, but if he wanted to stuff two bikes, is better to buy another car like for example, Veloster N. Or get a bike rack. Nope, this guy is still convinced the car is a hatchback like his Golf GTI. I finally just say "Dude, I own the damn car, and I'm telling you, no bikes, small trunk". He leaves and send me pictures of the trunk of the GR86, circling the rear end saying how the trunk opens from the rear window. and then sends me a picture of the SHOOTING BRAKE concept. I'm just slamming my head against the desk in disbelief saying "Hey guy, this are two completely cars, one of them never made it to production, and no, look at more pictures of the new model and see for yourself that the trunk does not open from the window, you fruit." I didn't say the latter word. Then I proceed to send him a link of this website so he can finally get his head out of the hole and git gud. I don't think he ever did follow the link. I also have to deal with my one upper co-worker who talks all high and mighty about his POS WRX STi. Everyday he wins a random race, with 19psi of boost, and how his third replacement block and turbo is so much better than before.

I thought it was funny that Q&A part, only 1 question was Supra. Rest were all GR86. Also journalist didn't ask a right questions PLUS presenter didn't answer indepth didn't help.

Also to add to A91CF. It'll come in 3 color options, Absolute Zero, Nitro Yellow & Phantom Gray. Phantom Gray is one of my fav A90 Supra color, so when they said it'll come in Phantom Gray, it interested be... but Supra doesn't come in MT, so o'well

Yea, definitely a marketing event based on the answers, and the nonanswers.

Funniest one was next presentation after Supra/86. Man, Muricans aren't joking around for Tacoma & 4Runner. They were grilling the presenters lol

Yea they were getting right snarky.

I'm glad I didn't start watching this live. The gaps between presentations are huge. I started an hour late, watched the presentations and still caught up to live before the Special Editions.

I wonder what they gonna show off in the Special Edition. I knew about Corolla Cross, Supra & 86, but Special Editions part, I have no clue what they gonna present.

One thing that I don't miss about the military was being forced to work and associate with complete assholes. At the same time, it was a real skill-builder. Now I enjoy @Tcoat's company.

WRT the military, I understand bile is an acquired taste. Fortunately, it was one I never had the pleasure of experiencing. Can't say about Tcoat,

Let's see, a Highlander, a Prius and a Sienna (that supports "that van life").

Even the guy giving the presentation looked bored.

Ahhh than....

You can be forced to work with complete assholes anywhere. The difference is you (usually) don't have to live with and associate with them
