My take on prank is this "Every action have consequences." I get both side of opinion. Those highschool students did were so call "cute prank" & I get that, but that doesn't mean they don't get the consequences for their action. School's action might of been a bit tough imo.

Was I an innocent kid? Hahahahahahahahaha I'm far from it, but def took all the consequences. Cuz I knew I was breaking the rule/law and got caught, so I just took whatever was the consequences.

It's like a speeding ticket. Shit, we know the law, but we break it! When we get caught, we get the ticket or sometimes we just get slap in our hands. For these highschoolers it was the ticket instead of slap in their hands.

Spent some time on the phone last light talking to an older friend(he is in his 60's) who owns an 85' Corolla GT-S that has been sitting in storage for over a decade. He finally conceded that it is maybe time to get rid of it

It has been sitting in storage with a blown head gasket so it is likely going to need a full rebuild. Getting the pistons out of the block could be in issue. It is very clean inside and out, just really dusty. I offered him 4k in the past. Looking at what they have sold for I don't think that is unreasonable. It is a coupe, I just don't know if it is a Levin or a Trueno. We are still talking about it at this point. He lives 3 hours away and is talking about coming up to visit soon. I am going to try to pin him down to a price then.

I never participated in pranks, not because I was a "good kid," I just happened to be a good kid but there just wasn't much pranking. One time the guys lifted my beetle over a parking lot - what are those things, chocks? stops? We all had a good laugh and that was that.

I don't know why there wasn't any pranking at the time. We easily could have.

I'm trying to get my unit's company commander to sell me his 1993 Miata. I did some paint restoration for him (See my album) and I keep bugging him for it. If I had to choose between buying a Supercharger or his Miata, I would choose the Miata in a heartbeat.

He is, a bit strange. I doubt he has Venmo as he has never even had a cell phone.

I don't have the space for the car till September. He has it in storage, but he needs to bring his Landcruiser up from CA within the next year so he will just needs it gone by then. We are still just talking about it so I am not getting too hopeful. He could want more then what I am willing to pay.

Love AE86... but honestly, not worth over $2k. Collector car? Rather spend more on 240~280Z or even 300ZX

A 2k 86 around here is a mostly non running rust bucket. Even beaters are 4-5k. They have fallen victim to their own popularity as well as the "drift tax."

This is a poorly modded hammered drift missile. 84' converted to a GTS, 9K

My friend in SoCal recently managed to get a super clean one, but SR5. I'm kinda jelly.

Def Ini-D tax got em good. Funny part is, these ppl who buys it don't know much it cost to keep this thing running. I know a guy who spent well over $45k to restore to a stock form. Even modding it, looking at $10k to get things looking good & actually running again (even w stock 4AG). From there, they find out how underpower & uncomfortable to drive daily.

With that said, I still love AE86. Just Cost/Fun, I prefer the twin or other cars more.
