We've secured the Toyota Automobile Museum, a non-public, privately held Corporate museum at Toyota Headquarters for out lunch spot, and we will spend 2 hours there. Only registered participants can access this museum and lunch.

Please keep in mind:

This is NOT a race, rally, competition, drift fest, tandem practice, or autocross. There will be NO racing, even in the canyon sections, as that would be illegal. Because we are nearly 80 cars and even clustered into 5-6 cars at any given time, dangers multiply by that much. Along the canyon passes and public roads, please be more courteous than normal, be aware and alert. No texting or doing anything other than attentive driving while on this tour.

The course map is routed so that there are way-points and turn-by-turn listed in a booklet that each driver will receive. There are no prizes for speeding, except for Police Infraction Tickets you might end up buying for LA and Malibu prices. There is plenty of time allocated to reach these destinations, even if you stop for gas or even stop at a beach or park, for snapshots. Take it EASY.

While we were inspecting the course last week, we had 4 cars and lead car almost hit a deer along the way. It was only because we were all alert and near the legal speed limits that any accident was avoided, and remaining 3 cars were also able to stop well in time for the poor deer.

Lets all be safe, and enjoy the day with 78 cars and over 100 friends and media/PR folks present for the event. This is a FUN event. There are no winners except at the Longo Scion and Toyota Museum lunch spot raffle prizes, and for that speed and courage has nothing to do with winning a nice FRS RC car, or other gifts.

It's nice to be able to use a few upgrades and custom detail, but be absolutely sure that you get them installed and shaken down(tested) for at least 100 miles and rechecked before taking it out on the tour.

I've seen too many cars that have been slapped together just a few days before an event, only to have alignment all off and car not sterring straight, leaky tires, loose wheels, and even things falling apart, ruining the day for the entrant.

be sure you do it right, and check and re-check!

The course of the day will span 160 miles of City streets, Canyons, and Highways of Southern California.

Be sure you fill up to full tank on the morning or the night before, so you can enjoy the whole day! The drive will last from 10:30am to 5pm. With many breaks in the way-points. Get to know your buddies driving alongside you, and perhaps exchange numbers too so you can all assist in navigating and in case of mishaps too. Be courteous. Be aware, and be FRIENDS!
