Merc nailed their strat, even RB knew they were had.

Really enjoying the battles for the top 10. Seems like there is a lot of cars/drivers that could creep into that #3 spot and the fight for points through 10th has been great to watch.

I mean, it was 2 against 1, and merc had better race pace. It was always going to be a long shot for RBR, "strategy" didn't have that much to do with it.

For example, if Max pitted at the same time as Hamilton, even if he somehow stayed ahead he still would have been sandwiched between the two Mercs. Leaving Max out and praying for a safety car was really actually their best chance of winning.

A Reminder that Monaco’s practice is on Thursday… traditionally Friday is a day off…

No one will be safe bets in these narrow streets...
Time for some underdogs to get lucky.

Now I got to stock up on some lemons and ice for this weekend in memory of my camping days in June 82 in the hills just west of Menton overlooking the city of Monte Carlo and where I lost 10$ at that Casino one night. And we fixed another broken window on our 69 VW van while watching pretty things on the beach

MasterSpin should get quite the collection of Blue flags as usual and he some times has a hard time seeing those…

If he misses getting the red flag hoisted he can always try to get the SC activated... a few times.

Im intrigued what Charlie will pull off in his home town.

No rain expected for the weekend but some cool temperatures !
13 C/ 64F tomorrow till race day. Interesting what the tires will do.

I found that last race a touch boring...

Beat me to it. In all seriousness, what is it going to take until he gets booted off F1, Monaco is one of the hardest circuits with almost no room for overtakes. If he causes an accident, which I'm betting on, I really hope is not a serious one.

Some drivers have found out that the Track limits are really well defined here, not open to interpretation as Alonso found out this morning…

I'll take that bet and put my money on Vettel.

Alonso and Mick are my backups before Niki, I think he knows he's in the shit and will just try to finish clean.

How the weekend is likely to unfold:

- Max builds up an early lead from pole
- Mazepin/Tsunoda/Vettel has a big crash, safety car bunches up the field
- After the restart Verstappen gets a puncture from the debris and has to pit, taking him out of contention
- Hamilton then cruises to an easy win and makes a tone-deaf statement like "I knew I could do it if I just kept believing in myself'

Your last point will be the one unchanging fact of what will go down.

The other points will get realized of course but with some other choice of driver.

Too bad Mick scratched the paint on his Haas , missing out on doing it again qualifying.
