JDL Turbo 2.1 Stock Crash Bar

Is it possible to make this turbo work with the Stock crash bar without having to cut it or replace it?

It is, but let me tell you, it sucks. I tried to make mine work and the amount of cutting makes it a useless piece. I was hell bent on keeping my stock crash bar, until I cut half way through it and realized I would be left with a Pringle

Ah so it’s just easier to go aftermarket?

Yeah it's nice. I was against it initially but it's really the best option. Here's mine with everything loose

That is nice. Did you paint it? I went with the drift armor bar, but definitely would have considered that if I knew it was an option. Everything I read about no-cut options was less than ideal.

I took a steel brush and alcohol to mine before giving it a few layers of black chassis and roll bar paint. Ended up looking decent, I think. Sorry for the garbage-tier pic.

What made you go with the dual bar over the single bar?

I can't answer for him, but in my mind, the dual bar might save the intercooler and radiator in a crash. My single bar would likely not.

Does the dual bar fit the jdl turbo kit, with the JDL oil cooler

I will probably end up getting the dual one, I dont have to worry about it bending my frame in a low speed collision god forbid right?
