Yeah, I don't think street photography is a polite thing anymore (if it ever was) but I used to have a couple of compacts with long lenses which let me be a long way away. Having said that I've never captured a great pic because it's not something I often look for and I don't use/have those compacts anymore.

Went to an AutoX day hosted by a track group yesterday. Went to the track paddock after lunch to see if there was anything interesting to take photos of. Nothing crazy and only got like 10 "usable" shots, but I kind of liked this one and played with the angle a bit to make it feel more "handheld"/spontaneous than it was when I actually shot it:

It's not anything to print or whatever, but I'm still exploring my "street" photography style and how to just kind of take random frames and work with them artistically, etc.

Went on a short canyon/mtn run with a buddy this morning to a lookout spot so I could shoot his A90 Supra. Working some of the photos. Not entirely happy because I messed up a setting and didn't notice till halfway through the shoot . But making do with what I got.

On the other hand, I am super stoked that the weather worked out! I was hoping it'd be foggy like this.

Here's one or two I have so far (we didn't plan to shoot mine initially, which is why it's completely filthy):

Thanks!! I wasn't sure on the preset I went with (basically the Lightroom name for the set of edits, if you didn't know already) because it's borderline surreal-looking. But I actually really like it.

1. Nice! Good pics IMO.

2. Wow the Supra actually looks pretty good when you cover the door vents lol.

Very nice. I've found that pics taken in foggy conditions can respond well to playing around with the clarity slider. I can dial in a more or less mysterious mood.

Haha yeah, I think it's decently possible to make it look much better with aftermarket parts. It's too bad it didn't just come from factory like that, though.

Maybe see if you can find the local A9X group or if you come across any try talking to them? I think I found this guy on IG originally lol but some friends had come across him as well, and we've met up a couple times for drives now. Fortunately he was gracious enough to let me shoot it (I've had several people flake on me now to let me shoot their cars for practice ).

not my best work but the composition and object arrangement i thought were spot on!
I love it. Especially the lines and shapes help frame the subject and direct viewers' eyes to it (the plate with the cookies). Extremely well composed. Maybe needs better natural lighting but a nice shot regardless.

Duuude I love that whole set! That just inspired me to try and find some cool spots on my staycation next week.

Also, there's going to be a new Cars and Coffee event on Sunday at an old C&C spot so I'm planning to go and see if I can snap any good pics. I just wish I had a wider angle lens, since my 35mm is basically 50mm focal length on my mirrorless.

I would like to get this lens. I will probably buy this lens sometime in the distant future.
This would make an awesome companion to my 12-100mm when we go traveling*. I own a Panny 7-14mm but the extra reach of this new lens would be useful although I will have to see how much difference 1mm at the wide end makes. Compromise and all that.

*Given that travel isn't on any near agenda neither is the quick purchase of this lens.
