Don't worry. My parents did not buy me a car either. I saved up like 4 years for that thing. It was well worth it. Taught me how to save up money for major purchases, how to take care of my car (if something broke, guess who would have to pay to get it fixed and no it wasn't my parents), how to be proud of something you saved up for...etc. I don't plan on buying my kids a car outright. They will have to work and save up for it.

True, Scion and Toyota are the same, but I think people are also concerned about what kind of image the car will give off to others who see them.

As of right now the image scion gives off to other car enthusiasts is Ricer-wanna-be, Douche-bag, poser or high-school-pimple-face-kid (Of course there's also an exception that not everyone who owns a scion is like that). Its the same with clothing. Abercrombie and Fitch > Hollister > American Eagle > Aeropostal > Walmart.

Image plays a role in everything, but of course--not everyone really cares.

Oh yeah? My IS labeled Toyota all over it, does that make it a Toyota? What about LFA? If it's all the same, I should choose 4 Runner over GX460 because they are the same. The different is the pricing, isn't that right? And no, not all Scion dealerships are with Toyota ones.

its sad the people care about image that. much.. most of the time it keeps them from trying something they might end up really enjoying...

but I do own a few of these .. My boys company makes them ..

basically yes... Your IS for year was Toyota all over the world only in the US was it Lexus... LFA is a Lexus with Lexus is Toyota... and for the 4 Runner if you want to pay extra for all the luxury stuff.. then go for it.. as for the Scion Dealerships no they are not.. but very very few are.. but they are still linked to some Toyota dealership..

Are you sure that IS250/350 are Toyota in the other parts of the world? Lexus is established in Japan in 2006, how comes IS 250 sell in Japan or other markets as Toyota? It's like saying Maybach is Mercedes Benz, Rolls Royce is BMW. It's also like saying that Subaru is Toyota, since Toyota owns 15% of Fuji industry. Basically yes, not it's not the way it is.

not the IS250 or 350 .. I was talking about the Toyota Altezza... be for a long time Lexus was just a US brand.. Kind of like Scion is just US/ North America Brand right now.. while its cars are sold around the world under the Toyota emblem .. At the end of the day.. It is just en Emblem the cars are still built by Toyota.. or are they not ??... (and yes their are exceptions to that.. but the majority of the cars line up is )

Yes Altezza was originally Toyota, but it's not the case for present time because there is no such a thing as Altezza is IS series. Scion is built by Toyota because its cars share Toyota badge in the other part of the world.

tC doesn't even have the option to install it. Dragon, tC come standard with LSD?

Now you're lost. Baybach and Roller share technologies, probably parts with MB and BMW, respectively. Does that matter make Maybach MB, and Roller BMW? No. What about Buggati Veyron and Volkswagen Jetta? You got the point yet?
