You were damn right. The first cours of S3 was still a bit of a slog but second cours (assuming I’m separating them correctly by cours) is fantastic so far.

Annnd somehow I already made it to Season 4 last night and I am totally confused.

Well, some of it makes sense but I don't know why they couldn't put any kind of reference for timeline ._.

It's important they didn't. Just enjoy the ride.

And no spoilers. I'm watching the dub... For reasons...

Really wish this vBulletin instance had spoiler tagging enabled.

Not sure why Admins don't :\

Man, he was young. Aortic dissection is a nasty way to go.

MomHawk's biological father passed awa from the same thing when he was in his early 40's (she was 13). He never made it to the hospital.

Her stepfather had one as well 4 years ago. The only reason it didn't kill him is because it hit a scar from a previous surgery and stopped dissecting. That gave the emergency staff enough time to save him.

Yeah, after reading the news, I had to google it. It doesn't sound fun...

Gave Koe no Katachi a watch since I've been seeing on Netflix as a recommendation for a while.

Honestly one of the most depressing movies I've watched in my life because some stuff really resonated with me personally.

I think I liked it for the most part, but I felt like the climax was a bit hamfisted in the usual anime way, which sort of reduced my last impression of it a smidge.

But it was still a fairly solid watch with, I think, some valuable lessons about forgiveness and such there. The art style was quite good and some scenes fantastic. Music was more subtle than other films but also had its moments.

Edit: I'm skimming some of the reviews on MyAnimeList, which I rarely do. Honestly some of the critiques seem overboard but I don't know if i'm fit to judge. Kinda interesting, though, to consider the different elements of this one (don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it).
