I dont think they want to sell the Yaris here anymore because small cars sales have been declining...plus...small cars...dont do so well in America

(Canada's a bit different, we like our small cars, but we follow the US like stupid lemmings so we get what the US gets and dont get what the US dont get)

I was never an exceptional admirer of the GR Yaris. The following changes my perception of this car, but not sure if we'll ever see it in production.

So.... you can actually order this motor and the turbo assembly for roughly 8000 US?

Someone's Twin is about to get a heart transplant!

I love it. Exactly what I hoped someone would do to an AE86.

In before people start swapping these into AZ-1s and Cappuccinos...

You mean the giant moon runes plastered all over the video was evidence enough?

I must admit if I was in the market for a new car right now, it’d be between this and a new twin I think. Initially my wife thought it was a stupid idea, “but it’s just a Yaris?”, I explained it’s a homologation rally car, but it fell on deaf ears.

But when we saw one in the wild for the first time a week or so ago, she said “what’s that?”. I said “It’s the Yaris I was telling you about”. She said “oh that’s cool!”. They definitely stand out and the turbo “whoosh” as it went past, very cool.
