I was looking at making custom pins... dear god, it's not cheap! First of all, can't get it below 50 order. Secondly, even company do below 50, each one is like $90. One site quoted me $250 for just 1!!!

I was thinking of making my family crest pin. Simple nickel 3/4" circle, soft or hard enamel pin.

Get a vpn and use that to look for flights.
Choose somewhere weird and not near your destinations. won't help with time, but should help alot with price. |

Yeah, you can get a decent little resin printer for 200 bucks.
Edit: Snapmaker has a 3-1 3D printer, laser, CNC for 1200. I have been looking into one of these.

I tried that. For some reason it is just stupid expensive and difficult to get into the very NE corner. It is cheaper and faster to just fly into Boston.

The snapmaker with CNC and laser engrave along with 3D print for 1200. Yes, you can get decent 3d printers for cheap that will get you into it while you learn. I have this one, it does okay but you are limited in the material you can print since the hot end can't handle the heat to do certain materials. I just upgraded to direct extruder so it should be able to do more. https://www.creality3dofficial.com/p...pro-3d-printer There is also this little resin printer they sell for 240 that does nice work. https://www.creality3dofficial.com/p...sin-3d-printer

But resin printers are pretty cool. Takes a bit of learning, but you can get details like this... (Coke can for size comparison) Last edited by Spuds; 04-29-2021 at 02:12 PM. Reason: can, not cane... Doh! Lol |

Also are you looking at a travel site, or an airline? Time of year and a bunch more also effects price of course...

I've mostly used a centrifuge style but vacuum is probably better. Definitely safer.
