Buying a used truck right now is as bad as buying a house. I have been looking hard and had a few good deals slip away.

GEN3 Cadillac CTS-Vs are the same. What few that are available or going up in price. There are no good deals on them right now.

never. ever. i don't agree with the open beta testing software-on-wheels gimicks they endorse so openly.

they also break my first rule in cars. i need to be able to replace the oem radio with anything aftermarket and all other vehicle functions must remain functional.

my main problem is it's a toyota. they literally don't depreciate. i'm only saving about $10k looking at a 8 year old truck. but it won't drop much more for the next 30 years. 20-30 year old tacoma's are still fetching between 10-20k... it was how i ended up in a ranger the first time around. i wanted the new truck, but picked buying a house instead.

they told me it was the adult thing to do. adulting sucks.

I'm after a Tundra, so I know the pain. One of my buddies at work had a 1794 edition Tundra he bought for 37K with 18k miles. He drove it to 60K over nearly 5 years and his friend that works at a dealership just gave him 34K for trade in on it. He hadn't done a thing to it since buying it. It needed tires and a front left wheel bearing.

At this point I am thinking of just buying something practical and cheap and waiting a few years and hoping the market dies down.

Went to see Mortal Kombat over the weekend with my two sons and MomHawk (it was one of our son's birthdays and he wanted to go see the movie and have dinner). It was pretty good for a video game movie. MomHawk said she even enjoyed it. She did spend a lot of time going "Ouch" and "Oh dear" and "that'll leave a mark" under her breath.

I'm really liking the whole reserved seating thing. I'm picky about where I sit and being able to pick my seats in advance is great.

I miss MoviePass although I knew it wouldn't last. Our closest theatres are all AMC so I'm tempted to enroll in their A-List program (up to 3 movies a week for $22 a month). With food and other discounts it includes you basically more than break even on your second non-matinee movie.
