My car was stolen Last night :(

So my 2011 Ford Raptor SVT was stolen late last night and I am pretty upset . It is probably alray near or in Mexico which sucks!, so unfortunately I was told there is not too much of a chance of the polic finding it . What sucks though is that I have dumped an extra 15K on the motor and a SC and off-road suspension. Perhaps now I will just take the insurance moeny and go get a FRS.

Garage
Well it could be the right one if he's going to take the $$$ and buy a FRS/BRZ.

ouuuuch! sorry to hear that dude. hopefully you kept the receipts so they reimburse you as much as possible. If you have no need for the truck as a utility vehicle.. then go for the FRS!

best of luck!

I do have all the receipts and thank God I have full coverage. Also, I have a work truck but it can't do all the things I would like off-road. Its basically limited to terrain that a stock X or STI could handle .

Did they tow it away?

Just imagine, some douchebag drug runner or person smuggler is using that truck's awesome capabilities to commit crimes and evade authorities...this is what sucks about being so close to the border..off-road trucks are heavily coveted in Mexico.

No it was probably just jacked. I live on a ranch and we have had cartel problems in the past (planting seed and such on our property) but we are pretty safe and always lock up our things, including cars. But they would have a hard time trying to get a tow truck in or out of the bread barn area.

That sucks man. That's a pretty damn difficult vehicle to steal unless you've got a flatbed or a lot of time to do it. PATS is fairly effective (but not infallible) unless you've got it bypassed for some reason (remote start, etc...)

I'm sorry that the powers that be (cough, cough) won't do anything to properly secure the borders so this stuff wasn't so common.

Here's to a quick and hopefully painless resolution by your insurance company :happy0180:
