I remember seeing it before, but then forgot. The video reminded me that of all the little things, I'm bummed about losing the vertical turn of the armrest into the door pull.

That's one of those little ergonomic things that I've always appreciated in cars (my old Celica too). For cruising, it makes it so easy to rest your arm on the armrest and tuck your hand behind the pull handle. Plus, I think it just adds a little more visual interest. Now it looks like the door card from a late eighties Corolla (albeit more colorful). The change to the new door card seems like one of the single biggest steps backward in the interior.

It's nice that there's a pull in the armrest now, but wish it still had the upturned part also.

Also, don't @ me with your "But you should have both hands on the steering wheel at all times even during a fifteen hour roadtrip herp derp."

Increased space for even larger drink in cup holder. I see no downfall.

Yes, it’s really too much.
But I think it will give us great satisfaction with some small customization.

Not here. That was one of my favorite parts of the interior.

It's hard to be sure, but to me it looks like that bottle holder is now a little smaller and shallower, so you may not even get that "benefit".

I wonder if the new one’s door still smashes the driver’s left leg with the slightest wind

That’s the auto-close feature! You have to time it right.

I started out preferring the BRZ, not any more. With that front plate especially... uugh.

I still don't like the back design but the overall car is much more muscular!
