Yea, I've been to a lot of airshows (been to Sun and Fun like 20 times, missing it this year though) and stuck my head on a lot of old planes. Never seen one that was yellow. Always some shade of green.

Is that a Hakone blending with the background?

The yellow is inside the structure where you would never see. The cockpits are usually some shade of green but it is not the zinc paint.
It is far more common than you may think

When I said stuck my head in, I mean the bowels of the beast. They usually open up some access panels, or there may be one partially restored and they have some of it onsite for fund raising purposes.

But, that said, I'm sure there was high percentage of them that were yellow.

The 40 cigarettes they probably smoked a day while applying it likely countered the effects.

That's it. That's the perfect green right there. It gets darker when it absorbs grease.

My sloth-pace WIP for the leather interior. Gotta figure out just how much of the sides of the seats I can use leather on since the door panels will be glued in place, so I don't want to push it out because of the leather and misalign them.

That is the one they call "yellow" zinc chromate. I have some of that which I may add a bit more green to.
