I don't intend to lower mine, but I do like the look with this offset and tire size combo. Definitely something to rethink...

Also looks like those wheels are right around 16-18lbs (depending on the source), so in the weight range I'm looking for.

I bought gold Konig ultraforms in 17x9 +40 (17.85 lbs) for my track setup. -3.2* front, -2.5* rear camber. Needed a 3mm spacer up front with stock suspension but I fit 255 RS4's on all corners.

They're also available in 17x8 +40 (16.94 lbs)

(weights are according to konig website)

For my daily setup I happened upon some SAR v2's () in 17x8. I don't recall the offset but they're definitely not as light either.

I'd love to just say screw it and get another set of ARC-8s, but they do not make sense for me.
Honestly koing hypergrams is what you want imo. They have 17x8 et 40 at under 17lbs if you plan to stay at 225 even if you get tires that run wide. Just need some camber

Those will probably be my backup choice.

I have an opportunity to buy a set of RPF-1s from someone I am well aquainted with from running HPDE with NASA Rocky Mountain. It just comes down to how soon he is able to get his new wheels and if I get to antsy to wait

I know someone who tracks on them, they work fine. RPF1s are known for bending on potholes as well.

I know, my comment was mostly tongue in cheek. That said, Rota makes their wheels too light for being cast IMO. They’re strong enough to meet standards, but many larger wheel companies go beyond them to guarantee a tougher wheel.

They’re strong enough in any normal situation, but a forged or flow-formed wheel will fare much better with hard hits.

I prefer to stay away from anything cast. So I'm pretty much looking at flow formed since I think forged options are probably out of my price range.

Keep in mind that the lip is almost never flow formed, just the barrel. The only wheel I know of with a flowformed barrel and lip is the Apex FL-5.

Cast wheels are fine IMO, as long as they don’t try to be as light as forged wheels. You add more material to make up for the drop in strength.

"Dynamic Spining Tech" Flow Formed, +35 or +45 in a 17x8. My friend has a set of these on his ND using 215/40/17 RSRR's. Not sure of the weight, but it should be close to the target. The protrusion of the spoke toward the rim is pretty bad with stretched on 215 tires he is running, but with some 225/45/17 it should be less of an issue.

Still wished they had those Avid1's in a 5x100 and flow formed. They would probably already have money.

Have you looked at the MST Suzuka?

I just bought a set. They're basically RPF1 clones but they make a 18x11 unlike Enkei. I should have them in a few days and can weigh in.

5 lug 6UL? If so, this is the first report we have heard of any 5 lug 6UL cracking at any age. Previous reports from a handful of 4x100 wheels anywhere from 3-10 years old. Please contact us at info@949racing.com
