My friend has the BRZ in blue and it looks pretty much identical to the FRS. Unless you get the light blue. : )

It's also about the same color as Momhawk's '05 Mustang convertible if that helps. (Torch Red, not the Redfire which is darker) |

Firestorm was definitely a deeper, richer color than what I was seeing in the pictures. The Firestorm really suits the FR-S in its character and personality. Of course, I'm biased.

Hot Lava is the right color. I've owned red, black and silver cars and nobody has ever complimented any of my cars on their color. However, every single person I've showed my new car to (Hot Lava) has gone on and on about how great the color is.

Of the colors i've seen in person its Red > Black > White in the FRS.
The BRZ looks better in white, but i'm rolling with gray... Blue was taking the lead until I remembered how well my Diamond Graphite color aged after 9 years.. |

If you really like red, then I would rather wait a few more months for it and not have any regrets afterwards.

Go with your gut is my advice. I know exactly how you feel, picking a color was soooo difficult for me. I went in thinking I'm getting Asphalt then I saw a raven sitting outside then I started thinking maybe i should try something out of my usual, let me get Firestorm so I placed my order for Firestorm. Got home an hour later pulled up this forum looking and pics, e-mailed my sales rep and said get me the Hot Lava. I'm so glad I picked that color, funny thing is that was my least favorite which is crazy but I couldn't be happier with my decision.
Luckily I have an awesome sales rep, we have history so I didn't look like a complete nutcase lol Good luck with whatever you decide. |
