My car started playing the TOB Blues. When I started it yesterday it made a faint noise when the clutch was engaged. Goes away when the clutch is released. And it only makes noise when it is cold. After a couple minutes it is quiet again. It could last for months or could explode on it's next engagement. So I want to replace it.
Can anyone confirm that the new part number is SU00307349? My first TOB lasted for 129,000 miles and this has only gone about 59,000 miles. So I think I replaced the first one with the old part. |

Well, isn't that precisely what you caught? lol
Sorry to hear though, that is complete shit! I bought mine from the dealer with a few rock chips in it, and I only saw them the day I was taking it home. I made them sign off on a free replacement windshield before I left with it. I swear the chips weren't there the day of the test drive 2 days earlier... I knew if I let it go, that the windshield hits would splinter soon enough, so I understand your dilemma! Call up SafeLight (or similar mobile glass company), and they can fill it in. It shouldn't have any further issues afterwards. Just keep an eye on it. Good luck on getting it repaired.

Does anyone have experience with Yokohama advan V105? I saw as just offered a smoking deal on a set @ $440CAD for 225/45/r17 fitment.
Considering how long they've been out I don't see a lot of data on them. |

not today but Saturday decided to take a nice drive by the river to only get two blocks before an old lady ran a stop sign and hit me directly in my rear wheel, bending the entire right rear suspension, subframe and breaking the diff off the subframe. Now comes the fun part of arguing with adjusters and inside claims adjusters.

I am sure they are gonna total the car and then argue about value of the car and what replacement cost is for a widebody turbo car

Not trying to be a ****, but is it insured as a wide body turbo car? I hate insurance companies as much as the next guy but if you’ve been paying them to insure a stock FR-S, the value of a stock FR-S would be the expected payout. |

That is correct, if you want aftermarket parts covered you have to give them the value of your modifications.

The other party is at fault so it doesn’t matter what I have it insured for, I could have Starr minimum and liability only doesn’t matter they owe to make the claimant whole.

Someone on the freeway blew a tire on my commute to work and there was debris everywhere. A good chunk got kicked up from a car in front of me. Unfortunately it hit my front license plate and part of my front bumper.
I was able to clean it with some detail spray and TLC. I'll keep my front plate the way it is to remind me how "important" it is to have a front plate. Moral of the story: The front license plate can act as a shield
