Mocal on top of oil to water exchanger, don’t need the normal brz/86 extended spacer plate as the oil to water exchanger now acts as the spacer. So it sits maybe an inch taller overall vs other oil sandwich plates.

I had the Cusco water/oil cooler (similar to the works unit/subaru stock oil warmer/cooler). It does keep oil temp below 118 deg C for agressive street driving but with 0w/20, the oil pressure would dip into the low 40s (psi) at redline. I pulled the Cusco unit off the car and last summer, I ran Castrol 5w30 c3 (euro spec).
On the same road, with the same conditions, the 5w30 kept the pressure in the mid 50s and never got hotter than 118 deg C. Thicker oil worked better than that style of cooler. |

You're running the oil through two heat exchangers and the external lines. Any idea what kind of pressure drop your getting with all that going on?

Took her to redline probably 10times a day on my commute home. Beat the balls out of her every weekend. Just made sure to let oil hit 170 first. My final setup I couldn’t get oil over 220 if I wanted (probably on track i could) but doing 40-90-40-90 about 10 times in a row in pretty short intervals in 85F just cooking my brakes but Oil temp wasn’t phased. It’s pretty common on other platforms that come with oem water to oil exchanger to add another air to oil cooler. My normal commute is 10-12mins at 5am morning commute in WA weather, so getting temps up quickly was equally a concern to keeping them cool. |

That's a comfort. I have only the Subie OEM set up and have had nagging concerns about the delta P across it.

wonder if it will work with my mishimoto sandwhich plate. lets hope! Edit: had some time today so i added it on. It works. I used all the spacers and whatnot that came with the mishimoto sandwich plate. Had to use both center bolts from both kits to make it work. Its pretty tall now. I'm very interested in this Kit for my Daily Driver. I do spirited driving more often than not but I never track my car. Though I live in a hot climate, I would be okay with the Regulator rather than a real Oil Cooler kit. Toyota 86 in the building! |

What I'm getting with the NED Kit is that you may need additional pieces versus the Works Kit which is more plug and play? Toyota 86 in the building! |

Where does the ned kit pick up and return coolant?
Edit: My google foo has turned to google poo. I've searched high and low and cannot find a link to the ned kit. What the heck is it?
