I only ever enjoyed multiplayer on battlefield bad company modded/hacked servers, where everyone had similar super abilities. Put me in a call of duty server, and I might as well be a running around with a mop.

Yea, I only play multiplayer with my kids and even then I'm usually the one going "crap, well I'm dead". The odd thing is I usually play games on at least one level above "normal" and rarely die.

My gamer tag (which is also DadHawk) actually stands for Death After Death, given to me by my sons who at one point used some form of .....Hawk as they all went to a school where the Hawks was the mascot.

I've looked at that many times but on Steam it said it was recommended to me because I played Subnautica.
I didn't like Subnautica. No Man's Sky reminded me of Subnautica.

Anyways, as an act of desperation I bought/am playing Serious Sam 4. ('Twas discounted on GoG.)
Absolutely nothing new but at least I am enjoying it a little. I like the scenery, I like the fast paced simplicity of it.

Yet another week that I can't get a F... 3060ti, or 3070 from Best Buy. I manage to add the items way before my trackers notify me, but is useless, because even though I'm about to checkout, Best Buy suddenly decides that my state is not worthy of shipping, or anything in a 250 mile radius.

This is why I just paid the damn scalper rates on Ebay. Otherwise I'd be stuck with a 1080 for another year.

Finished Serious Sam 4 in 47 hours. It was kind of fun but really nothing different from the previous installments. Zero replay value.
On a scale of 0-10 I give it 5.5. Good value at $10 (I paid more than that).

Oh noes! A 1080? How would you ever survive!?!?

My wife has something in the 6xx series she wants to upgrade, but places are out of stock the minute they notify of being in stock.

The only GPU that comes in stock on Best Buy and is not usually sold out within minutes is the PNY 1660 Super, I settled with that one for the mean time. Is a very decent GPU. I get about 100 FPS on Warzone on 1080 High. 60FPS on 1440, and a little less on 4K low.

Trust me, the time had come to replace that little sucker. Plus it would have died with my 1440p monitor I had bought during my PC Renaissance.

NOW! I had to buy this little GT 710 to get my bios to register the PCIE riser and decided to keep it installed for a week to see what I could actually get away with playing. And I was truly astonished! So if it could do all of that, I know my 1080 would have been fine, but I was on a building high!

I do game at 4k on my 1080. It works pretty damn good. Can't run everything at 60fps at highest settings but I'm usually playing games at least a few years old.

TBH the dictating factor to getting a 3070 was to play CP 2077 as high as possible. Plus Control was getting laggy on my 1080. It's still a viable card, but the lust was powerful.

Forza Horizon 4 is now on sale on Steam, should I pull the trigger, was always curious about it. Wanted to re-play Need For Speed (2015) but I 'm not willing to pay $40 for a game that I know will soon shutdown its servers being that the game needs online connection in order to play.

Still gonna need a MS account.

Also would not pay full price for the game at this point. Wait till it's on sale.
