Yep, it does. That's what makes it so tough. I just can't get up the gumption to jerk it out because I don't want to risk damage. There has to be a better way...

You mean short of taking the front bumper cover off, right?

That's one of the reasons I haven't pulled mine off to paint them. I'm not only concerned about damage coming off, but figure there must be a reason they used clips there (probably flex). Waiting to see if folks that have done it have any issues.

As much as I wish the steering wheel was mod-able (at least the logo portion), and it will bother me being the last Scion piece, I am still rebadging it Toyota on the front/rear and wheel caps.

Maybe eventually I'll give in and get the JDM steering wheel in red trim but not likely.

You can also paint the emblem with spray paint and put it back on if you want to mod your car and are annoyed with the holes.
I used nothing but a string and Goo Gone to remove the badges :happy0180:

Just poured Goo Gone over the top area and kept sawing back and forth with the string until I hit one of the pins. Did the same for the bottom. Then I started to pull the badge off with my fingers and poured Goo Gone while pulling and it just comes right off super easy.

Look great!

As far as taking the front one off, sounds like everyone is doing it through brute force. You have to break the pins on the back, which concerns me although no one seems to be having issues once its done.

If you break off the pins from the front badge, where do they end up? On the ground or stuck somewhere in the nose rattling around forever?
