Lost a Great Ring taxi driver.
RIP Sabine, only 51 another cancer victim.

Time for a YouTube binge.

On par with prior seasons. Fun, a little drama exaggerating.

Kimi has like three sentences this time. Good showcase on Valtteri, Racing Point, Red Bull and Haas. Shame they didn't have anything on Williams and Russels Merc debut.

As of yesterday Laurence Stroll and his partners have put a former F1 track up for sale.

Le circuit Mont Tremblant north of Montreal was opened in 1964
Hosted F1 in 1968 & 1970.
https://lecircuit.com/

Seem to be asking for 22 Million, but believe that’s a bit low for the 33 acres ..
Some cottages are worth that up there.
The building of condos has taken over what was a small village and
Noise complaints have affected full use of this track for past few years.

Sorry I Could not locate any English info as of yet but if you want to try understanding French here you go:
https://www.poleposition.ca/actualit...-est-en-vente/

Bit of its history background:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circuit_Mont-Tremblant

I have spent much time walking around this track since the late 70’s and many memorable photos taken.
For a spectator it has many good high viewpoints and was a cheap weekend car fix for me.
The pits were always wide open with friendly drivers willing to talk about their cars to a clueless spectator if I did not get in their way.

I fear it will get converted quickly to More Condos. We had lost another track just last year. Le Circuit was still running profitably in the past few years.
Always looked forwards going to the Legends weekend, there was always some really old stuff running that I never knew existed.

Big money has been trying to close le Circuit Mont Tremblant for decades. With each passing year the price of real estate goes up and up so speculators see bigger and bigger dollar signs.
Last year they lost a court case over noise so the writing is on the wall. Sad sign of the times.

After FP1 and FP2 I am curious about this weekend. Does the MCL35M have race pace to run up front? Will Merc tame their setup issues? Is Perez going to be a typical RB #2? Did AM drop off from last season? Does Tsunoda really have that much pace?

Oh, and VAMOS CARLOS !!

I never liked racing at St-Eustache, (with it's half buried cement blocks) or Sanair. Niether were very motorcycle friendly. However, Mont Tremblant was always a joy even if dealing with management there was a HUGE pain.
If they bring in electric car events and sound level legal regular meets that would shut down the noise completes. Problem is, the locals would then complain about something else like crowd control and/or road congestion.
