Our old GM used to always say, "best sale we never made" when we would loose an equipment sale to a difficult customer

Last part have been opposite for us. 9 out of 10 times, I usually the one get the baby & make her stop crying... at least so far for me.

Now THAT reminds me of a back-in-the-day Army story.

One Saturday night several couples had gathered over at this couples apartment in post housing in Germany.

Ken and his wife had a new baby. After they put the baby to bed (in the lower drawer of a dresser in their bedroom) it kept crying. Ken's wife had fed it, changed it and rocked it, but it kept crying.

So, Ken's wife ask him to go into the bedroom and see if he could settle the baby down. Ken went into the room and came back out shortly and the baby had stopped crying. Ken's wife ask him how he did that? He replied "I simply shut the drawer".
