Spiderman was always my childhood favorite--small nerd gets superpowers. He is in NY and not just some made up city. He is fit, but not jacked. He can't fly, but he can swing. He has powers, but also invents his own tech.
I always had respect for Batman and Iron Man and other heroes that don't have superpowers. Batman in particular because he is just a guy with some ninja skills with some tech. That, and he has a dark side as an idealistic vigilante. I grew up with this:  But shoutout to the awesome work behind Spider-Verse:

Marvel and DC should be animated. All of 'em. Stuffing "stars" into makeup and muscle suits for "live action" cinema kills the whole genre for me.
