June 4th - called dealer at 10am - went in at lunch and put a deposit down.

I'm yet to test drive the GTS AT - I drove the GT AT and wasn't too impressed. You driven the GTS AT yet davey? I'm hoping it's more involving with paddle shifters.

yeah, I test drove a red 86 GTS, was freaking awesome!!!!! I'm having flash backs everytime i doze off or day dream. MY GAWD IS AWESOME!

Dealer took me down some straights then some winding roads. LOVE LOVE the steering and paddle shifts combined. Dealer also let me play with some buttons, so I played with the sport mode, VSC, TC and just feel how the car reacts to just normal driving. I totally forgot there was a seat warmer button! I was like, what does this do...? Dealer's like "oh that's seat warmer, thought you know this car inside out?" me - "OH YEAH! Totally forgot about that, that's awesome! no need for it in Australia but good to show off!" LOL! yeah man, i drove down some high ways and just blasting through the gears, so good man! once the revs go pass 4000, the car just roars! music to my ears!

it's like it is telling you to hit the gas harder! played around with the stereo and the GPS as well...not bad... i've been hearing mix reviews on the head unit, some say it's pretty cool some say it's not worth and it's crap...I say it's alright, does the job!

Thanks for reassuring me about my AT order.

Next test drive I go on I'm going to ask the dealer if I can take it out by myself. My dealer is a pretty big guy and I thought we might be hindering the performance of the car. Now just need to come up with a way of asking him without offending him lol.

did you guys take it down the ED to wentworth Avenue, then came back...

I waited at the lights when they were green and he told me, the light is green and i said yeah i know, its ok. Waited till no cars, push it around the bend to get back on the freeway and pretty much was at the point of loosing my license automatically by the time I cleared the onramp and got back on the ED...

Yeah! I went down the ED as well then then loop into a few quite streets then back, not sure of the street names and stuff. LOL! he was guiding me the whole way. not my turf so I got no idea of the area.

Was really fun though!

I think so...
I took it easy on the dealer car, cos I already had an epic go in Dangerfield's one around Olympic Park a few days before. Almost no cars and the roads are nice.

I ordered my GTS manual on the 14/07/ so my wait time is going to be longer than 12 months (probably)

My web tracking does not work even though I have the batch/pass number 586XXXX & order/user 566XXXX. Web tracker keeps rejecting me.

My dealer claims the web tracking doesn't work for orders with an eta of longer than 12 months. Is this correct or is he blowing smoke up my tailpipe?

Anyone out their with web tracking working for a car with an ETA > than 12 months?

I ordered a GTS manual on 17th July, my tracking number works, don't have a production month yet though.
I'm in Sydney if that makes any difference. Hope that helps

Gents, I might have to pull out of my order for a Whiteout GT Manual, current order status - In production to arrive in Aus at the end of August/early Sep, throuhg a dealer in Sydney.

Right now, I am not 100% sure whats going to happen, but if you are interested in the car, let me know - could be a chance to get one with minimal wait.
