Whoa, that looks glorious. How’d you get such clean/nice slashes? Let’s get a pic of a slice when you cut it!

Darn.

Well, that's another thing I might put on the list of new kitchen tools to get next month after I move in.

Also, I've done the same. 4qrt dutch oven works perfectly with a 2x scaled up version of the recipe.

They are cheap. My lame is only like $10.

What I really like about the no knead recipes is the longer you age it, the more it gets like sourdough without the major hassle of having a starter. King Arthur site says age up to 7 days in fridge.

they used to be used for shaving. and there was a slot in old medicine cabinets for ' safe razor blade disposal'. you know, by depositing them in a wall...

Yeah, I've done 4-5 day cold "ferment"'s in the fridge so far. Definitely adds flavor.

Shaving? Really?

Seriously, I'm 57. My first razor was a saftey razor. And when I first started college I worked as a grunt for my buddy's contractor dad. We found razor blades in the walls all the time in the old homes. Found all sorts of other stuff too. Once found a 100 year old letter in a house near San Jose State downtown. The person was saying how they were in trouble and owed the school money and needed money. 5¢.

Found lots of license plates. Strangest was an old penis pump. Took us a while to figure out what it was. I was glad I had gloves on.

Best popcorn ever. Red Amish Country popcorn cooked in an oil popper with coconut oil, topped with salt.

Glad to see someone else still makes popcorn "the right way" although I use a large heavy sauce pan (Scanpan pot) on the stove. I made the mistake of eating microwave popcorn once, that was enough.

I did have a microwave popper that used regular kernels, that was OK if you wanted it with no oil, but it's dry as newspaper that way.

We make popcorn every Friday night, and usually on Sunday night.

We also have popcorn about twice a week.
Bought my wife a special pot for christmas.
It works really, really well.

I've thought about getting one of these (for that don't know, it's basically the same type popper movie theatres use, just with a lid rather than letting it pop out)

How much does it make at one pass?
