Will they be able to tell the condition of the clutch when they replace the pivot/TOB? The reason I'm curious is because since I did learn to drive stick from the get-go with this car I almost wonder if I may need to replace it also, but I'm only at 41k miles.
How about this? We can compare the angles of our forks. I'm sure that mine is golden. I predict that we'll see a small but measurable difference in their at-rest angles but compared to the length of the throw, we'll agree that your clutch is fine.

Here's my take on waiting. If you knew that the bearings in one of your hubs were shot and heating up, how long would you wait? Getting stranded sucks.

I did get the Verus fork and pivot. I was told that I needed to buy the pivot separately, but when I bought the fork it came with one. I suppose if you end up needing a pivot, I have a spare I could mail to a PO box. It does look like the Verus TOB is the 17+ OEM one as you said.

As for the clutch, I would hope it wouldn't need replaced at only 41k, but they would be able to at least see the outside of the clutch when they take out the trans. My car has just over 60k on it, and again the only reason I'm getting a new clutch is because I get drunk sometimes and look at high boost pulleys and flex fuel kits online.

If you do end up buying a clutch, many tend to come with a pilot and TOB. If it does, it is generally advised to not use them from what I've been able to find.

Yeah, 41k here. That is probably what I'll do.

Fair enough. I definitely will get the TOB/fork replaced but unless there's a strong indicator that the clutch needs to be replaced too, then I'll hold off.

My main thing is just the usual argument, which is that I'm having a shop do it so waiting to replace the clutch means paying for the labor a second time.

I'll probably just do the TOB/fork for now so I think from reading other threads that Verus setup should be sufficient.

Stick a pin in that and reassess the next time your TOB fails.

I’ll have to find and link it when I get home. It’s the transmission one in the tracking forum.
