Maybe American Chopper but definitely not Cafe and definitely not my cup of tea regardless of it originated from motorcycles! Show that to any Brit and they'll laugh! Cafe Racers cut or removed any uncessary parts to make it go faster hence the name (race around the coffee shop until the record stops playing).

Here is an example

'69 Triumph Bonneville

'55 Norton Manx

Bōsōzoku are known to modify their motorcycles in peculiar and often showy ways. A typical customized bosozoku bike usually consists of an average Japanese road bike that appears to combine elements of an American chopper style bike and a British café racer, for example: over-sized fairings like those found on café racers, raised handle bars like those on a chopper. Loud paint jobs on the fenders or the gas tanks with motifs such as flames or kamikaze style "rising sun" designs are also quite common. The bikes will often be adorned with stickers and/or flags depicting the gang's symbol or logo. There are also marked regional differences in motorcycle modifications. For example, Ibaraki bōsōzoku are known to modify their motorcycles in an extensively colorful, flashy way. They will often have three or four oversized fairings in a tower like way in a motorcycle painted in bright yellow or pink with Christmas light–like adornments. Their motorcycles were often cobbled together from stolen motorcycle parts and thus suffered from numerous break downs and maintenance problems.
Bosozoku also have a distinct style of car modification, eponymously called "bosozoku style".[4] These cars are often modified with large exhaust pipes, bright paint, and large aero kits, the latter modelled on Group 5 “Special Production Cars” of the 1970s.[5] Also popular are oil coolers or less commonly large turbo or supercharger intercoolers with highly polished tubing, usually mounted in a prominent position in the front bumper.[6]

Sure looks like a street car compared to the tC. And I can't really find any info on either GTR, so I cant comment.

What you consider ugly people in japan see as creative. Its like a fashion industry down there, but with cars. Its one thing to say its not your cup of tea, but calling them ricers is just stupid bro.

Bro where did I ever say Scion was responsible for the trend. Read my post again. I said "Seems like Honda and Scions tend to be more at risk for this unfortunate disaster of being "riced out"..." I didn't say Scion was responsible. I just said that Honda and Scion cars are more at risk for being riced out. Also never said there aren't riced out 350z, Supras, Evos, STIs...etc. Never said that in my post. Just said Hondas and Scions are more at risk. That is based on my experience from local car meets and car shows. YMMV.

World Racing is about squeezing out every inch of time out of their car. They added the front wing to the car and ran 4sec faster than their previous track record. The car is FWD, when you are pushing 1200hp to the front wheels, you tell me what methods you would have utilized to put the power down to the ground? Tisk tisk tisk for not understanding the point of my post. My point was there are plenty of cars that are fast without a goofy spoiler on the hood of a car. That was my point. / of my point with that.

Yes I put up the tC and the xB. What is your point. Both of them made the pointed I wanted to regarding riced out cars and the styling features that many use when they try to "pimp" their car into a riced fart can. Big wings, big graphics, "loud" paint, crazy ground effects...etc. You have somebody see a race car/show car with a spoiler and all of a sudden you have a bunch of teenagers thinking that if those cars have spoilers you might as well go with a large one since larger is always better. Right?

Also in my opinion the Bosozoku is ugly and epitomizes my definition of a riced out car. You might like it. Great. I personally don't and think it is ugly. It actually looks better stock compared to what they did with it. After all that is my opinion. YMMV.

It's ridiculously fast to say the least.

Forged Performances 600-700whp R35 GTR trying to follow him.

That is fast and an excellent lap time! Shit, he holds the record!! Haskovec's 1:21 lap time was during the Toyota 200 which used to bring out the AMA guys b/c of the purse! Last time I was at Willow on my R6, I was running 1:29-1:31's during a track day and not a race weekend. Race weekend, guys are running 1:24's.

WTF?! Who called them ricers? Did I strike a nerve with you for you to get all tender inside "BRO"! Japan is more than capable of being creative, its just not in this department!

800whp Race Viper and 700whp Vette....getting passed up. Not exactly street cars either.

Take the fastest Time Attack Unlimited AWD vs. FR vs. FF. Rado's tC doesn't even break the top 10 fastest times. Give me the Sierra Sierra Enterprises Evo 8 or the FX NSX over Rado's tC any day please.

That is a lame excuse since other cars in the FF don't have crazy spoilers on their hood. Take Heinricy's Cobalt or Evanson's Civic.

Yep no hood mounted spoilers even though they were putting out some serious power for their weight.

Yea , agree on that . I've driven a honda myself so i'm not hating on the brand or scion for that matter . It's also because most ricers can't afford cars like evo's-supra etc . So they buy a honda for cheap and spend their cash on cheap parts just so they can play too .

tranzformer did. Lol. and you agreed with him in a way. You newbies all sound the same.

Forgive me for being casual, it just ticks me off when someone tries decides to disrespect a culture in japan. Then again, what should I expect, apparently bosozoku is a car designer according to you.

Maybe I should use more smiley so your half dead brain can understand.

You don't need to go with the personal attacks.

If you like bosozoku, that is fine. But why do you need to argue with someone who thinks it doesn't look good? Aesthetics are a personal thing. There is no objective measure for that like say car performance 0-60, 1/4 mile, top speed...etc. So why you so taken aback by people not likeing "bosozoku"? I bet there are things I like that you don't. No need to get ticked off.
