A nice pile of cash. Asked if I wanted to trade in my heavily modded FJ Cruiser for it...I said hell no.

Limited Edition 1992 GT-Four RC, which had an engine fire on the highway. Was never interested in giving her up for anything, not even the FR-S.

Don't have the toy hauler any more - my toys (2008 Polaris Sportsman 700 X2) were stolen.. and I couldn't afford to replace. So we sold the trailer, and got rid of the truck so I could pursue my new love

Loved the tundra though... In terms of what you were getting (381hp, 400tq) the fuel use was actually quite good (but that's relative). if one day I decide to get a truck again, I wouldn't consider anything else. Just an amazing vehicle (and I've owned Ford, Dodge, Chev trucks in the past - never again).

The tundra remains the fastest vehicle in the current Toyota line up.. (and will be until the new supra comes out). Loved it when any ford/chev/dodge would show up at a stop light and I'd show them tailgate until the next light... always surprised them!

Everyone -

I'm curious to know how much you guys actually got from the dealer for your trade-in compared to the value KBB reports for trade-in.

This would be extremely valuable information for me, thanks!!

I believe blue book on my Tundra was $17k.. i negotiated to 18 based on extras (air bags, new tires, bed liner, trailer brake controller, etc). the real kicker was low miles.. I only had 76k kms on it..

Didn't trade in anything. I have trouble separating from my cars so as a 22 year old I currently own all 3 vehicles I have ever owned.
BRZ was by far the most expensive of the three though, in fact it costs about three times the other two combined.

2004 Audi S4 <- Biggest mistake ever! I thought owning a turbo Z32 was a pain to keep up...Audi's are built like crap. I was waiting for the next thing to break on the audi. First it was an oil leak that the dealership tried to fix 6x...leaked until the day i traded it in, then it was a blown power steering line, then an O2 sensor, 2 MAF sensors, a radiator (dealers fault but i ended up paying for it), a/c compressor blew, 2pc flywheel exploded, rear pass window stopped working, and lastly the clips for the visors both broke off. Audi was such a pain to deal with, never going euro ever again! I got $7200 trade in but still owed $8k offset that with $4200 cash.

Got $220 over "Excellent" trade-in value for my xB (according to KBB.) It was "Very Good" at best, probably closer to "Good" with the rock chips. I suspect buying 3 cars at this dealer in the last 5 years and bringing them 3 other sales and a lease in the last 2 years helped with that.

what?!? I would never sell my 95 Civic hatch... It's been through so much with me... I will bring it back to this former glory, and then SOME!

For my BRZ, I just put $5000 cash down and financed rest...

Got $5000 for an 05 Chevy Colorado. It needed some work to get done like needed new tires, fuel injectors, and the power windows needed a fix.
