Same...painfully so.

The engineering ladies club at my last job (yes it's a thing, yes men are invited, and oh boy does everyone loves the annual chilli contest) had a speaker come in to give a women's leadership presentation. Heard this secondhand so keep that in mind.

Apparently the biggest challenge to advancement that women in industry face is a lack of confidence and willingness to take risks. Statistically, a man is more likely to apply for a position where he has 50%-75% of the desired skills than a similarly qualified woman. Whether that is biological or societal is a whole philosophical argument I think, but the result is women advancing slower than men of similar background.

Today on my walk I learned (or realized) there are no fire hydrants in my neighborhood.

The other day I learned that the same box of nitrile gloves at the food service store that was $12 pre covid is now $32.95.

We thank you for teasing very limited number of words from our "retired" accountant..

Back on track, I learned today that our Twins rear hips look really sexy under a light covering of snow.
