Def can't retain me, cuz my in-law's house already have internet (& better one too).

Gave up and called em. Dude was very nice, didn't give me any hassle. If I could give him a tip, I would.

Yep, the difficulty of canceling service is their primary mechanism for retaining customers

Saw someone selling this kit.

Interesting setup. Question is why MCA didn't make the whole thing? I'm assuming if they wanted to make it contact w less parts, but they could added replacement Link Assy Support. Instead of reusing the stock ones.

If you're wondering what suspension mod I'm talking about, here you go. Can skip til 3:00 to see the installation.

Nothing teaches respect for a tree branch like falling flat on ones back after it lets go. I will NEVER forget that feeling of having the wind completely knocked out of me.

I feel bad for my grandkids. Nothing but computer games and I can't force them to be interested in anything else.

Not looking forward to this when I move.

Although most likely I'll be sticking with xfinity.. If only Google Fiber hadn't gone under...

I got two lights up in the laundry room. One more to go. Got rid of 3 ancient fixtures, 12 florescent light bulbs, and six ballasts. No more hum.

hmmm...... my question is "does an 86 really NEED any traction assists"?

Allow me to draw on my back-in-the-day knowledge. When cars had leaf springs on the rear and the engine was hopped up to produce more torque and/or the tires were bigger/stickier, sometimes the added torque could "wind up" the rear leaf springs.

The solution was to add "traction masters" to the rear suspension to prevent the springs from being distorted.

Since when does an 86 have enough torque to "wind up" hardly anything?

OK, OK - I'll go back to my whittling -

Maybe because you told them that story one too many times? -

Yep, you just about had to change your name and move out of the country to get them stopped -

Well, the apartment should be pre-wired for cable -

Reminds me of the time, back in 1968, when I moved into a brand new apartment in San Jose, off of SW Expressway.

The cable/antenna box was prewired into the apartment. All we had was a small, B&W portable TV, sitting on a TV tray. Since the rabbit ears just weren't getting decent reception, I decided to hook into the box on the wall. Then I found out how much it cost and couldn't afford it ..... because we were saving up for a bed - out apartment was unfurnished.

So, I thought I could just tap into the box and no one would be the wiser. I did so and the TV reception was fantastic! However, the next morning was a Saturday and all the neighbors were down in the managers office bitching that they didn't have any TV reception.

As I watched the repair crew moving through the complex, it dawned on me .... maybe I had done something to the system by "tapping" into it -

I quickly disconnected my TV and put all the wires in the box in the wall back to where they were. Yep, all at once, everybody got their TV signal back.

Nope! I never told anybody there, what I had done. -

More research needed. I don't get how moving the leading arm down 2" makes the rear end more planted and less tail-happy...

DANG, Sapphireho, how much lightning do you need in a freaking laundry room? It's not like you're gonna be performing brain surgery in there -

Something I find pretty ironic is that my parents and other parents of the same age were super worried about this exact thing happening to me and my siblings + our peers.

But in some ways it's not our generation (millennials) but the subsequent ones that literally won't go outside and do anything _unless_ they can throw it on their TikTok or w/e the latest new social media platform is.

Although I am a software engineer so maybe I shouldn't be talking .
