) but that is not true. These are halogen projects, not HID projectors.

Putting HIDs in HID projectors is the best solution. However from our experience, hids in regular projectors still dont really pose an issue as well. Its ultimately not as effective as HID projectors but still shouldn't be a problem. |

TRS->PnP in a halogen builb -> PnP in a reflective housing. When comparing the optics of an HID projector to a halogen projector, it becomes more obvious. (HID left n halogen on the right)

We have seen the difference. The original question was "Will this blind oncoming traffic?" Our response was No it wont as compared to non projectors. Assuming people have installed it correctly. But thanks for sharing that piece of information. It always helps that people help each other out. |

have you done a burn in test with the headlight housings to verify they do not operate above the safe temperature for the plastics and adhesives involved in the assembly?

We have not done a burn-in test. Although, we have not had any problems with unsafe temperatures. Our HIDs have been on the market for 5+ years with no report on melting plastics or adhesives. But the starting voltage may be higher for a second or two. Our HIDs are 35 watt which are lower than a 55watt Halogen. Hope this helps you with your decision. |
