As others have said, all in one water coolers are just as easy to set up as air coolers. The pump unit is small and attaches to the CPU, and the radiator/fan just takes over a fan mount on your case. Most newer cases have thick enough fan mounting locations to support a radiator/fan combo.

Well, now you can get the mod bug for your PC lol. Think of it as a learning experience. Research is good for figuring out what to do, but truly learning why requires experience. CPU cooler interference is probably the hardest aspect of a build to predict so if that's the only issue you got out of your first build then you did pretty good.

$100 learning experience is really getting off cheap.

i had some bad pc memory a while back once. it only caused problems in very specific games at different times. i replaced a $200 power supply because it seemed more voltage related than a bad memory sector-- like my graphics card was pulling more than my power supply could take...

Oh for sure. Even with just one fan on the heatsink cpu idle is around 38-40ish degrees. So not too bad just sure it could go lower with a second fan probablh

So I followed the advice I got from the forums and changed my plans for the build. This is what I came up with, so far I've only purchased the case and motherboard, no rush on the rest of the stuff since I can't find a GPU anyways.

CPU:AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6 core

SSD:Adata XPG Pro 1TB SSD
Power: Corsair CX750 750W Fully modular

Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H60 AIO
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550

GPU I'm thinking maybe I'll get lucky and get my hands on a 3060ti.

That seems like a legit build to me. Don't forget to budget for an operating system.

AIOs are passé. You need submersed mineral oil cooling.

Seems like a good build so far! I've noticed the Ryzen 5 is very popular over the 7 or 9

Nice. But take advantage of the the M.2 SSD. Spend a bit more for it. Go for the NVMe one, I did. Makes worlds of difference. 30 seconds from completely off to watching a YouTube vid on chrome!.

And this is the Micro Center brand Inland Premium 1TB. I paid $125.

I can vouch for the NVMe! It makes a world of a difference compared to my previous computer. I got the Samsung 970 Evo, but if you have the $$ they released the 980 Pro which is supposed to be even better. O_o

The full description for my SSD is ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB 3D NAND NVMe Gen3x4 PCIe M.2 2280 Solid State Drive R/W 3500/3000MB/s SSD (ASX8200PNP-1TT-C).

From the reviews and what no, this SSD is about the same price and has exactly the same specs of a Samsung EVO. I can always go with something else like Samsung.

TBH, the only one I knew of was the Samsung solely because my brother suggested it. lol but I've seen others by Crucial and such too.
