Hi friends!
Stoked to finally have a toyobaru twin. I picked up a 2020 BRZ Sportech RS three months ago and have been loving every minute of it. Unfortunately I couldn't resist the urge to immediately start modifying her right away. IG: @itsifun |

New here? Come say hi =)
Hey everyone, I’m Kevin and I bought my 2013 BRZ last October and I absolutely love it. I’ve previously owned an ‘86 and ‘92 Mustang and a ‘03 Eclipse GS and this is by far my favorite car. I love the looks and the way it handles. I’ve started doing some modifications starting with wheels and tires and am running F1R F29s 18x8.5 +38 with Federal SS 595s 225/40/18 on all four corners. I also just installed a Mishimoto Cold Air Intake. I just ordered a Tomei UEL Header and Tomei Type 80R catback along with an OFT V2 Tablet.
The goal is to eventually (in the next year or two) make my BRZ a drift car that my wife and I can go take to the track and have some fun in. I’m looking forward to being a part of this community and talking with everyone about this awesome platform. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by theFISCHERcat; 02-24-2021 at 05:08 PM. Just joined the family! She's a beaut. '15 with 18k miles. Always liked the look of these and since my Mini took a shit on me one (five) too many times I thought I'd be smart and buy a Japanese car for once. Been in love since the test drive.

when i went to weathertech for floor mats for my '14, they said they couldn't guarantee the fitment. i laughed, and had them look up a '13 fr-s, which fit. then they tried to imply that it was a difference between toyota and subaru. i laughed more and told them i'll take some floor mats for a '13 fr-s and if they want to measure a '14 brz, it's outside.

'17 BRZ Track Car
Hey fellow 86ers!
I just picked up a 2017 BRZ Performance Pack for mostly track use and I absolutely love it already! All the great info on the forum has been really helpful figuring out what I need to do to get the car track ready. CSG has also been incredibly helpful with the final decisions as well as with insanely fast shipping to get an oil cooler, CSG pads, and Motul oil to me so I can be ready for the track this weekend. Other than the oil cooler and track essentials I'm going to try to keep the BRZ as stock as possible, but we'll see how that goes My previous track car was a Boss 302 so it's going to be a major change to a BRZ but the handling characteristics already have me sold! Looking forward to meeting the local (SoCal) 86Cup competitors and other 86 track addicts. Thanks in advance for all the useful information I will find here!

Hey everyone, I just picked up a 2014 brz yesterday. 58k miles megan coilovers, perrin strut brace, and from the way it revs I think the previous owner also installed a lightweight flywheel and aftermarket clutch. I haven't been underneath to car yet to see if there are any other mods but I'm excited to enjoy this car and eventually add a few modifications as well as fix a few small things.

It revs up really fast with extremely little throttle input. I’ve gotten better at driving it since yesterday but if I’m not very aware of myself it’ll rev up to about 3500 rpm with barely any throttle input. And also the fact that there are other mods done too it as well like the short shifter coilovers and possibly a header I’m not positive it’s aftermarket but if it’s the stock one the previous owner removed the heatshield also the way the clutch engages it’s more like a switch there’s one very very small spot where it will slip and engage smoothly but if you go to quick the car will lunge back and forth really hard. I am used to driving my Mini Cooper which is completely stock so this car will take a little time for me to get used too but I still feel like it revs too fast for it to be the stock flywheel. But I am open to criticism if you think I’m wrong or if you have other information thanks.

These cars are a little touchy with the drive by wire. Better than most though. Even stock the clutch has a hard feel to it being hydraulic

Hello, new to the forum. Looking to learn more about my car and what I can do with it. Picked it up in November, garage kept it over winter(live in Iowa and had summer tires), just got back from my first road trip and couldn't be happier with my car.

Dont get bit by the modbug. Youll never be the same again... hahaha. Im only a year in and $750 gone (to good use!) My last buy was a Perrin intake tube in red. Cant wait to get it installed after I register for the year. Sadly Ill need to find a muffler before I can pass TX inspection... goin to the dealer tomorrow to figure it all out since they sold it to me and passed it the first time as-is. Good luck with the build, and I spotted your other post. Great write-up with the pics! Glad to hear some people are crafty and frugal

Have had mine for just over a month now and I've already put over 1k miles on it. A lot of random, directionless drives just to break her in a little more. I feel bad slipping and burning a new clutch every steep hill, but oh well, that'll be something I can deal with in the future.
