The 350z HKS SC kit was offered at $7k then

p.s. prices in above post was given in USD
A few things:

1. AUD is (slightly) higher than USD
2. In Australia the 350z/370z is over 1.5x the price of the 86 which, if HKS has an understanding of market economics (And I assume they do they are still in business) would or should bear in mind when pricing their kits.
3. There is an Australian developer of an S/C kit in competition which will also drive market economics - and he has announced sub $4K pricing - I'm sure HKS will bear it in mind.
4. I'm not sure why you think you have a great grasp of Australian economics and feel the need to come into this (Australian forum) thread and bash on HKS?
5. Bahraini economics are not Australian economics, just as US economics aren't Aussie economics.

Who is this magic man? And where can we find him?!

Personally I don't think they will care too much about a local developer producing a kit at such a price. They are too big a company and have a global footprint so I don't think they will price a kit here differently to anywhere else in the world. Plus people like brand names, i'm guilty of this most of the time...

This is a HKS thread so I'll not provide a link but look for Tradewind's posts

It's all ok and of course we are aware of the competition. I know Raptor as spreading the word about their kit and it being sub 4K but they don't even have a vehicle yet! If someone want's this type of kit they are welcome to it and are not a customer of HKS or understand the product. There is also Bullit (Rotrex Distributor) who are developing a kit but have decieded not to use a Rotrex for this project?

Anyway HKS will release their kit when all parts have been manufactured and it will have a factory finish (as usual) with factory reliabilty. It's still not confirmed that the new HKS Flash Tuner will be included. We hope so.

Flash Tuner info here: http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/produc...tor/index.html

Cheers
HKS Austalia.

Hey guys we have a group buy happening on the 2 exhaust systems as of today i am going to supply a link to another forum so that i dont have to put it on every forum and that way we have more chance of reaching our group buy limit.

Supercharger is forced induction..

but its generally a more smother delivery, depending on the SC, it will add more power down low and you wont get that turbo lag.

Bash HKS? Why u think that and I'm a big fan of their products! I'm just another FT86 enthusiast who is looking for the latest updates on cool products, and the HKS supercharger is the talk of the town now.

We in my region always keep an eye for international markets coz we normally order our stuff from overseas

I ordered parts from other vendors on this (American) market and non of them told me why are u posting in our forum!

I only mentioned my concers of tuning solution to this kit. My 350z is running on an FCON and I know that it's the best ECU out there, but still, comes with a price.

I hope HKS considers ECU reflash for the basic kit in order to control the price and compete with other brands

Another thing to add, I'm always on real Australian forums coz they have great experience in JDM cars and products and I enjoy their crazy sleeper projects found at toymods.com

There are a lot of xenophobic and racist people in Australia just try to ignore them, you're very welcome here.

Warning to gtauto.. careful posting links to other 86 forums I heard some members were banned for that.
