Finally got around to installing the rear pads and rotors while I was putting on the winter wheels. 62,000 miles on OEM and the outer pads were just about down to metal. Did the fluid (RBF 600) and fronts in the summer, both sets are StopTech sport slotted rotors with StopTech Street pads. My review...Meh.

Would that be caused by blow-by? Not something I know much about.

I hope not. Reading through the forum I saw others who experienced that on their cars first oil change. I did the break in period per the manual. Hopeful that the ring seals are all competent. I’ll watch after this weekend at the track to gauge smell and oil consumption.

@JeremyR and I installed my Defi oil pressure gauge with a Block8Head vent pod. Install was mostly smooth. Had some small issues with fitment of the pod mostly because of the gauge cables not being the easiest to route, but some DIY widening of the access hole in the pod made it work out .

Haven't driven it much yet with the gauge. Best I can say is the example in that screenshot, and then after driving home yesterday I parked with engine temp still at about 203 degrees F, and the pressure was down to maybe 3ish PSI.

Can update once I've driven at different speeds/temps.

Brushed the snow off her. Then broke out my Sammy as my BRZ is not going anywhere till the snow is mostly gone. I had to put the Sammy in 4 wheel, for the first time in a couple of years.

i did see a 40ish pound cub on foothills. probably orphaned. bears can be a daily thing as i have three piles in my yard right now.

from the last abode... they're ok in the woods if you keep a pace. mother bears can be whack but they let you know.

Oh man right in your yard! I am totally comfortable with all southeastern US wildlife. Except the black bear haha. I give those guys a wide berth and I wouldn’t even live in a place with brown bears. I’d be intimidated to drive the Dragon at speed after dark. Be just my luck I’d roll one of those suckers right through my windshield and he’d eat my face off. I have caught some hellacious timber rattlesnakes not far from there though.
