Man, my G35 from the ghetto is proving to be a test of my patience lol.
I just heard the belts squeaking yesterday, increasing tension to proper level didn't help. Squeaking goes away when warm, so I didn't notice it until I drove the car earlier in the day. The PO spent tons of money at some SF exhaust shop...and it's an Ebay exhaust that rattles. I'm hoping when I get it on a lift that it will be cured by bending the hangers a little. The PO spent tons of money at a shop getting tons of things replaced, except the mechanic couldn't bleed the clutch properly, installed the shifter wrong, overfilled the coolant, didn't notice a cracked expansion tank, and didn't notice the shot front suspension bushings. If I were smart, I would've talked him down a little more, but I was thinking if he paid that much money for maintenance, how bad could it be? Turns out, there are some really bad body shops and mechanics in the Bay Area. I'm definitely gonna come out of this car short at least 1k. It kind of reminds me of when I had my first MR2 Spyder, single owner always serviced at the dealer...after running up 30k in service bills over just 12 years, he never noticed that they were ripping him off for conventional motor oil, and that the car was burning tons of oil, so it ran dry at some point and the engine let go on me

I'm going to take a personal moment of silence and thank myself for buying a frs/brz. I love this platform and community so much. No doubt the 350z community and platform is great too, but I'm so happy with my decision

Well, I guess that's a realtor that won't be helping me out.

In my limited experience, trying to find a small house with a big garage is tough.

One place to look, assuming there is one in your search zone, is a fly-in community. Most of the homes are reasonably priced, and there is likelihood to be a hangar on the property. You do have to like airplane noise though.

Yea, its usually people that move next to an airport that has existed for 50 or so years, then complain and try to get the airport closed. You know the type.

Since there is very little to block the sound between the new subdivision from the speedway it is pretty loud on weekends. The HOA tried to get it shut down due to the noise and the judge pretty much laughed at them and dismissed the case since it was common knowledge the place had been there for so long and when it was built it was in the middle of nowhere.
