On sheer looks alone, the first two Chinese fit the bill.

I know it's probably been mentioned multiple times but this thread is so big and I can't find a clear answer online. Is the new BRZ only going to be sold in North America? Is it not going to be sold in Japan?

Looks like US and European journalists divide the world between them only, completely ignoring any other markets. So the saying that the BRZ is "US only" or "North America" only most likely means "not in Europe". I'd guess Japan will be included, and Australia/New Zealand as well. Probably a bunch of other smaller markets too.
The only real reason to skimp Europe is due to ever-tightening emission regulations, not just per-model but per-manufacturer as well. These don't really apply to other markets.

Thanks, I figured it would still be sold in Japan but IIRC there are 3 trims of Supra available over there so I could also see if there wasn't enough market for a revised 86 in Japan.

Has this one been posted? Really up-close examination of the car in a press tent.

At 9:40 he revs to over 6,000 and the engine sound is... interesting. It sounds both really smooth but also digitally augmented in some way. It's probably not augmented, but it sounds somewhat unique.

We don't know. It could well be - it's the latest fad, to digitally enhance the engine note through the speakers. I hate it and my 370Z is one of the worst offenders. I don't mind the sound tube the 1st gen twins had, that at least was real induction noise even if it didn't sound great.

There's no more physical sound tube from what I could see, so could be right about the digital augmentation. But my guess would be it's the door being open in an enclosed space so the engine sound is bouncing around before being picked up by the mic.

Also that's a lot of rev hang. Hopefully that's just due to the automatic trans!

i don't notice anything different about the revving besides the different sound. also really hard to differentiate echos from the environment, from the characteristics of the recorder, from the actual sound of the motor from the drivers seat...
