Big splash today, I’m Impressed by the very low DNF.
Since Stroll qualified all I read is: How long before stroll bins it? At race finish: Slow gonna slow… too bad he had tire issues at the halfway point. Did Seb & Valtteri trade scripts today, how many spins did VB perform 6? Seb was doing pretty good till the Ferrari clowns showed him who’s boss again! But recovered & got back into form for a podium just to piss’em off. Good day all-around for the Ferrari boys. Checo, Great drive with good tire management, Seems he may be looking for a sabbatical next year? Max won the Drifting contest if ever there was one going on this weekend... Made a Sub for lunch(The site being underwater and such most of the weekend), with some HAM, Capicola, Provolone, salad & Red peppers and a Cream Ale to wash it all down. To the Masters 7th WC win and He now wants to change the world. |

Fun race to watch and shockingly no safety cars.
Best strategies of the day, Hamilton and Perez converting intermediates into slicks and Hamilton on radio "these tires are not going to blow up?" |

Late race rain would have been a disaster for... Well probably most of the field. But especially Hamilton and Perez. Big risk, big reward. |

Otherwise he's a very likeable, philanthropic champion but appears to be trying a little too hard for a knighthood. |

Will take a few hrs before the Hospital examines him and give out results.
At first view seems to have burn his hands, ankle or leg & maybe broken ribs. And lost a shoe.. This will shake up quite a few drivers if/when the race goes on... |

Didn't even notice the missing shoe.
Seeing that crash would shake up just about anyone I'd think. |

Im sold on the Halo. Secondly, I hope his lungs are OK and this is probably a good year for him to retire as well.

imho a really underrated driver trapped in a POS car for the last few years. Bet he wins some good hardware in the next few years for people that pay attention to more then F1 and NASCAR. Would be neat to see him in Indycar but I'd put money on him not moving away from Europe. And there's a real divide in the racing safety priorities in US and Europe, lots of Euro drivers are terrified of oval racing while the US guys look at the hard steel barriers that Romain hit today as way worse. And yes, glad for the halo, it's here to stay, the days of 'true open cockpit' are probably over and that's a good thing. |
