Any "older" BRZ/86 drivers here?

At 62, I suspect I'm probably one of the older (if not oldest) people here. I read recently that the median age of BRZ/86 buyers was 36, compared to 60 for Miata buyers.

So how about it? Anyone else out there? Am I the only 60-something BRZ owner in the world?

I still love my little 2 door handlers and I exercise regularly to hopefully keep enjoying them for a long time to come. At 57, it’s funny, some days I feel like I’m 37 and some days what I think 77 might feel like. Unlike when I was younger and pretty much felt ready to rock 24/7, now I feel like I have an age range of 40 years depending on the damn day. Anybody else feel that way?

Yes, I'm afflicted with the exact same syndrome.

There are medical terms for what we're experiencing.

When you feel like you're 77, it's called reality.

Those times you feel like you're 37, it's called fantasy.

At 74 and my wife at 72 we are the oldest in our families. Lost our siblings a while ago.
As the last standing, we are consulted by all younger members. ( not that they do what we suggest, but they do seem to listen}

I have not been hit with that issue yet. 99% of the time I feel like I am 20. Now watching and listening to my 38 year old son get in and out of the car is a wonder to behold. It is a spectacle you would expect from a 90 year old man!

Yes, but I have no explanation for it. I do know that exercise can change that feeling quickly, even at half speed.

Exercise (light weights/"high reps" and racquetball) and yoga, keep me feeling young at 58.

The yoga really helps my flexibility so that I can get into and out of the BRZ easily!! Even after bilateral hip replacement 4.5 years ago. ;-)

lol I get tired a LOT faster but do a lot of trail walking and light jogging when the knees allow it.


ETA I was very surprised at how fatigued you get from track driving. It keeps you sharp and wish I could do it more.

You should try it in my nose heavy 440 Challenger. It's a workout. But fun.
