Exactly - Even something like this in the Netherlands is crazy money due to the taxes - so a CTR is 60,000 Euros. The 86 had a similar fate.

I'm not surprised. Someone thought they were a race god and crashed a vehicle much more capable than they were.

Okay, okay, one more vid with some spicy info:

"The car was able to put down a maximum reading of 278 horsepower to the wheels— 10 more horsepower than what the car is rated for at the crank. "

Where are you getting that quote? Did they say that in the video? I watched it at low volume because I am at work.

We're used to seeing chassis dyno readouts listed in horsepower at the wheels, but this one appears to be configured for conversions to horsepower at the crankshaft.

Check out this one. Maybe the correction factor was messed up, or they calculated for crank horsepower. 208hp is a 20+% drivetrain loss, which is more on par with what is stated.

There are two different videos. One in the link from the post on the crash with 208whp. The other video shows 278hp.

First drag starts 4 minutes in, nothing unexpected against a ctr in the wet, Yaris gets a good launch because awd but the civic pulls harder at higher speeds with a power advantage.

Saved you ten minutes, video is mostly from ctrs pov.

Yeah, message from the video: get a Yaris if you want to drag race in the rain from a dig.
