given that he has boost creep from 3-4 PSI I think it is safe to assume he is just running the lightest TiAl spring in his wastegate.

EDIT: Beat me by a second lol

We just went out and retest the 2 cars side by side.

1 Go Pro inside the vehicle and 2 GoPro HD's outside back to back. That way we can show forward and reverse. This video is much better quality than the original. Going to start editing tonight to make a promotional video.

We did a 10mph Roll I topped out 3rd gear and he was just about to make the shift into third he tells me. Judging by the lines on the Rd. I count 6-7 Cars roughly.

I let him drive the car for the first time and he was amazed at what the difference was. "Theres No way thats only 50hp more" - Jeff Camp!

Is there room to just place a flat/short mushroom filter straight onto the compressor? That way it takes in air from below?

Then when it hits the windshield, it has to travel upwards even more steeply against the air pushing against the windshield. This makes the windshield area, and especially the point at the base where the air stream has to turn abruptly a high pressure area. "Cowl Induction" uses this effect.

Now, any higher pressure area can cause drag, so today's cars minimize this with greater slope to the windshield and better transitions from the hood. So the high pressure bubble at the base of the windshield is minimized these days. But it may still be there. Whether it is or it isn't, it's still a source of cool air from outside the engine bay.
No I understand that. Actually I think typical hoods are "flat" enough that there is actually low pressure over most of the hood, but I'm not sure on that. The point where the air from the hood hits the windshield is certainly a "high pressure area", but what I'm talking about is that there's that gap for the windshield wipers over which the air from the hood will separate.

Also I believe the windshield angle's effect on drag is more about how much air gets pushed to the sides over the A pillars and then back around the C pillars, but not sure on that either.

Don, this has been an exciting project and you have done an excellent job with the design, engineering and execution. The only thing I see happened is that you let the cat out of the bag too early. You should have kept it top secret until you where done. You would have saved countless hours of answering questions and answering the same questions numerous times. You did an awesome job and the people that appreciate it will purchase it and be very happy. It's unfortunate that the critics are not building and showing us how they would of done it so much better. They just have time to try to rattle your cage. There is fifty different ways to get the same results. Your way is very smart and easy for anyone to install without being a fabricator. Do not let anyone suggest that you took any shortcuts or did anything wrong or should of did something different. You did a great job and my hats off to you for doing it and dealing with all the BS people have thrown your way. Good luck with your Stage I.

Thanks. I appreciate that.

I've been in the business for almost 15 years. Not all criticism is bad. It gives me alternative angles that I just don't see myself.

For instance the cold air intake system I made today that routes into the factory pickup location behind the bumper and requires Zero Modifications to the Body!!!!

No. Its still on the go pro's...thats not til later this evening if I even edit it that fast.

This is why I don't do high quality vids much. It takes a film crew to do anything.

I've read every post in this thread over time. I actually think the comments and feedback have been overwhelmingly positive. There have been some critics but even most of them were constructive at least.

Awesome. Looking forward to watching. What you described sounds like that one old school video of the lotus OEM vs a locus with a K20 swap.

I don't like the placement either, however the manufacturer themselves stated they couldn't fit a turbo under the hood because of hood line...

The manufacturers have restraints. I could clearly put the turbo in the engine bay. I felt there were to many compromises and to much heat passing by vital engine sensors.
