There is a noticeable difference in the upper band from behind the wheel.
How does it sound? Any sound clips rolling around? I looked through the thread and didn't see any.

I am back to stock, put aver 300 miles on it with the Airaid intake. It sounds good, I don't have any clips....not normally what I hear people ask for sound clips of, so I didn't think about it.

On a side note, I did see someone concerned with humidity. Normally there isn't a whole lot of humidity around here, but while I had the intake on my car, the humidity was from 50-75% depending on where the rain was in the valley, and I never had any issues.

- Shameless plug, cause I noticed something. -

Right now prices are running 350+(USD) for other intake systems...This one is 270-280ish...was looking at the AJUSA link out of curiosity and noticed a couple things, and No. I am not affiliated with either of these two.

1. If you enter the promo code on the AJUSA site, you get 10% off your order right now.

2. If you look at the Airaid site, you see there is a 50$ rebate card in the intakes they are selling right now.

Which puts the Dry filter setup @ $202.00 USD and the Oiled at $195.00 USD

Yes sir! That is what we are trying to promote.

Instead of the 10% discount, use the code FT86GB - it gets better...

Airaid has produced a top performing piece, made in the USA of US sourced components, that adds proven safe power, and is priced $100 less than anything else on the market. How can you say no?

Cool, Im glad you guys found a second test car! The more diverse the testing, the better.
Its hard not to admire all of the hard work put in by AIRAID during the development and testing of this intake.

Are there any soundclips? If I buy, I'd like to buy before the rebate offer is over, but I need to know how it sounds and how much power I'm giving up down-low (looks like 3hp under 2800 on the preliminary dynographs).

I wish I had taken video! Sorry to say that we do not have a soundclip, but it sounds just like an intake.

We just put the prototype on another local's car yesterday, so I will contact him and see if we can shoot some video.

We have had three test drivers now and they have all said that they can feel the gain up top, and not one has complained of a loss down low, FWIW. My experience has been that the car likes to be revved, and you don't feel it pull until the upper RPM's anyways, so any loss down low is not noticeable. Hope that helps!

Will need sound. Heard (I think it was the Accelerated Performance) a prototype and it was...just loud as hell with a high-pitched whine. You're saying it sounds pretty much like that? Not exactly my style.

I'm sure it sounds different since it's in an enclosed box with an insulated lid. It's difficult to capture sound accurately with a video online, but we will still post one up as soon as we can.

I just checked and the $50 rebate runs until 9/15. So you will have plenty of time to make a decision based on sound clips and an official dyno sheet with production parts.

Whaaaa?

No, the sound for AP's was a deep growl and sounded mad like hell. Note: I had one installed prior before I started designing my own in the interim. It actually made the car with exhaust sound like a mustang.
