Temp is starting to drop, so I swapped over to the winter tires today.

Since I need to adjust the clock today,
I'll top up the tire pressures too.

Switched to a 2017 oem header and tested it out in the canyons. Also topped off with some fresh e85.

What did you have before? Any noticable performance difference?

Did Fall maintenance on the FRS today. Changed oil, cleaned the air filter, switched to my "winter" set of tires and inspected everything. Even the brake pads. Even. The. Brake. Pads.

Anyway, everything still looks good underneath.

Exciting, I know.

I had the OEM 2013 header before. I've also had a JDL catless UEL and FT86SF catted.

Can't really tell much of a difference vs. 2013 OEM. My datalogs show a slight increase in max MAF voltage and engine load (about 2%), but obviously not the most reliable indicators.

I think it sounds slightly better than the 2013 OEM though. Might be in my head but I feel like it's a little smoother and a little more aggressive at the top end. I wonder if Toyota/Subaru revised the runner lengths to be more EL.

Did the same. Also, time change did not fix the issue with my onboard GPS. It still shows the wrong time, and the wrong arrival time. Offset by 6 hours and 12 minutes.

Did you change your cabin filter too? Just did mine. Better vent flow with a fresh clean one.

Nope. I changed it a few years back and the old one looked fine.

Pretty much. The larger diameter would account for the sound change.

So it’s not just in my head! Thanks, that description matches exactly what I was feeling (and hearing) with the new header. It’s not a huge difference but definitely better. With the sound tube blocked off and with the 2017 header, the engine has a smoother feel down low with a bit of a scream at the top end.

Part of that would also be the more free flowing CAI.

Did the trans and diff oil on Friday night (that's right, I know how to party). Went with Motul for the diff and Redline for the trans. Diff seems a bit quieter? Trans for sure shifts faster when warm, but I didn't feel the improvement when cold that I was hoping for. It's fine for now, but I'll try something else in the trans next time.
