I get the opposite reaction sometimes.
We just started using a new automated ergo assessment program at work. You just take a video on your phone, upload it to the program and it analyzes the movements and assigns a risk score. the 40 year old plant manager at one of my sites told one of the young guys to give me a hand if I couldn't figure it out. He thought I would be confused by the tech involved because of my age!
DUDE I helped develop the system and have been using new computer tech since 1993.

Probably about average. Some of those "notable individuals" are really pushing the envelope on what could be called notable.

1. That's actually pretty damn cool.
2. Yeah, I cringe just as much when somebody tells boomers to go talk to a millennial or genx for technology help because they are "young" and this stuff is "new".

I just remind them that I've been working professionally for 40 years, and I've never NOT had a computer on my desk. (First one was the original IBM PC).

Also, who the heck do they think invented all this stuff? We're past the point where most "old folks" are technology unaware.
