Tesla has been insolvent since basically the companies inception. That's the "irrational market" part.
The "solvency" part is talking about the individual investor trying to figure out trends and market movements, at least if I am understanding Keynes correctly. |

Electric motors can generate an imperial crap ton of torque at 0 rpm. Then it seems like these have gear reductions to get to the quoted wtq numbers. If the battery/motor combo can generate 1000hp, I would believe it generates a few thousand foot pounds of torque. At most, that is only a reduction of 5-1.

I get that torque is immediately available at 0 mph. An 1:11 hp to tq insane though. I can’t imagine a graph with a torque curve peaks at 11500 and is more linear at 4-5k? Seems like these EV are single speed and power graph shows a relatively flat velocity/kW distribution?

The 11.5k torque figure is wheel torque.

Its wheel torque. Don't be fooled. Conventional pickups make similar power at the wheels

I don't know about cost to repair, but I guy I work with has a GMC with the tailgate. It looks relatively straightforward, mostly hinges.

This is great video going through the truck but the guy really needs to remove the clothes pin from his nose and eliminate the nasally whine he has.
