No hate here. Just my honest take on why this hasn't been well received.

I think what he is doing is extremely outdated. There have been an exhausting amount of street/track builds now and we have seen these parts on 95% of the builds here since 2013. (Not excluding my own). There isn't anything new or exciting here. The last thing we need is another person trying to explain to us why we need these parts when they have been out and proven for years.

This forum has been so packed full of new and innovating ideas for so long. Now that the platform has been developed, and the new ideas have plateaued, this type of content just seems like a repetitive cash/likes grab from ft86 speedfactory. Or whatever it is called now.

You want our attention? Steal Jeremy's time attack FRS and continue development on that. BC that is what it is going to take to get our views in an extremely diluted market.

It mostly has to do with the spammy nature of his posts. He usually puts these in multiple threads. This is also basically unofficial subispeed/ftspeed advertising since he works for them.

That and why do aero mods on a car only running Hankook V12 Evo's. Money would be better spent on a good 200TW tire first

OMG this. As an HPDE instructor I constantly see novice, first time drivers adding aero to their car WAY before their skills have developed enough to even remember where they are going on track. I get it, it looks cool. But it is FAR from the first thing you should do.

If you look carefully you'll see that the mods aren't actually installed on the car yet... Wheels and tires will be mounted long before the aero is installed. How is it unofficial advertising? I'm not telling anyone to buy anything. It's purely informational. No one is making you watch the videos. There's still plenty of people who enjoy learning about this sort of stuff.

I think there's still plenty of people who enjoy the detailed installs and informational videos. There may be a lot of content out there, but it's not created well and not easily digestible.

As for Jeremy's car. That thing isn't going anywhere anytime soon if at all.

Purely informational? Do you ever have a video that does not direct the viewer to the links in the description? And again, why spam it in multiple threads? You need to create this "informational" video and put it in it's own thread and on your build thread. I'm surprised it is only in two places this time. You know what you are doing, no need to be cute about it.

This really bums me out.

Again, no hate from me. I could never talk on camera like you do. So props there. Just my 2 cents on why this hasn't been well taken on the forum.

Yes, I've had a decent amount of videos that don't direct viewers towards any links. Why wouldn't I put the video in multiple places where it's relevant to increase viewership? Again, it's pretty simple to just not click on a video if you're not interested.

Who knows, maybe he'll prove me wrong!

Not a problem, I completely understand and I'm used to the criticism by now. I'm just working with what I have available so if people find it entertaining / interesting then that's awesome, if they don't that's ok too. I'm doing these videos for myself and they're in no way connected to ft86speedfactory besides the fact that I get my parts from there. I just thought if I was going to do it, I may as well document it for others. I do appreciate the feedback.

THIS ^
There is little that is "informational" other than regurgitated opinions on a subject that is presented as fact. At least in the couple of videos I did watch. I have to assume it is more of the same noninformation presented this time. Want to throw them in your build thread well cool but spamming them to get views (it is obvious) is not cool.

What 3 or 4 of them?

Being associated with a company, not saying you are associated with a company, putting their links in your videos just comes off as disingenuous to me.

Your DIY's are actually quite good though. Those would have been nice a few years ago. But videos like this are not informative. It comes off more like "here are some products that are cool, buy them from here."
