Trolling carmax while waiting for breakfast. They have a brz ts for 32k and a 50th anny amd series grays for 27k. You then drop down to the 2013's and they are 10-12k for the same milage cars. Pretty crazy price differences.

I think that it comes down to the degree and type of abstraction that each of us can handle. For me, linear algebra was a snap. Laplace transforms are supposed to make life easier but I am still completely unable to wrap my head around the wizardry so, when I was actually using them professionally in designing/tuning PID controllers, I literally felt like a complete imposter. Math is incredibly humbling and beautiful.

It's also used for robotic arms and such as well. Industrial Robotics was another class I took (and actually did quite well in) where I never really got the mathematic theory behind it. The problem is that I just can't seem to figure out why the math works. I can talk about why calculus makes sense, or where the Naiver-Stokes equations come from but with linear algebra it was like "do this translation in that situation" and in my mind I'm wondering why in the hell anybody would ever think to do that.

I started taking HS math in 6th grade and was pretty much done with all my HS math by the time I was a sophomore. I was super behind in English and by the time I graduated and started going to a local community college I struggled really hard. I gave up on it at that point and did just enough to get by.

Please forgive me, guys. I was trying to emphasize a point with hyperbole. I started out with Spike trying to say how it's possible to suck at math and still appreciate it.
