A normal GT3 is a fairly good deal IMO, but the RS...I feel like that's too much money for a 911 (every other car on the street in a nicer neighborhood). The NSX looks hot and exotic in person, whereas I really don't give a s*** when I see another 911.
I will say the 9000rpm Porsche sounds better than the NSX, but if you want sound, I think you're better off with more cylinders (an R8 for example). Honda kind of dropped the ball with only 7500rpm IMO, you need 8000 to compete in the supercar club on a cylinder deficit :P Last edited by serialk11r; 10-05-2020 at 10:40 PM. |

I'm probably oddball out here, but for that price point, I'd rather buy an R34 GT-R. Yeah, I know it's much, much slower, less refined, etc; but it has always been a "dream" car of mine ever since I saw it in the Gran Turismo games.
*waits for those Cobalt vs R34 memes* |

Man, for a $150k...
Some random Testarossas for sale... https://www.carfax.com/Used-Ferrari-Testarossa_w727 I would be really thinking about getting something that was unattainable that I wanted for the last 35 years... I would just want a Ferrari Testarossa...I am sure they are next to impossible to keep on the road etc... But I want to drive around with some nice Synthwave Music thinking I am a cast member in the show Miami Vice. Here a music video, that I want to make my real life. |

You're gonna need way more than 150k to own that ferrari for year
![]() The engine out service is atrocious. They use a timing belt which is mileage/year rated. |

After I posted the thumbnail, I knew someone would point out that was a countach. I would love one of those as well, but they are significantly more than 150k ![]() EDIT: well crud I got this video mixed up with a different synth wave Miami Vice video. You are right, the video does have a Countach. But yeah, you know the vibe I am after. I am actually thinking about trying to find an Early 80s Nissan 300ZX Turbo that has the digital gauge cluster. BTW found the video... |

So what are we actually talking here?
You have your current cash flow and income but are suddenly given $150K to buy a car? You improve your income to the point where you can realistically afford to buy a $150K car? Or You now have so much money you can buy $150K car as your daily driver as well as anything else you want? Each of these scenarios will probably change a person's shopping list.

#1 don't buy a $150k car dumbass, you'll be driving an 86 again in five years with that kind of decision making
#2 NSX viable as primary fancy/fun car #3 NSX viable as 10th fancy/fun car |

But if it was a 150k credit you could only use to buy a car, and the rest went poof.

I'd buy a C7, a C8 and a new 86.

You can get whatever you want within that $150K budget but it must be a car.
