The quality “issues” are more indicative of the price point than anything else.
Things like the bumper sag show up more for people that put it on and off to mod. There were not many reports of later models having it at all even then.
The paint is the result of them not upgrading their application system when the VOC changes came out in 2011. It isn’t restricted to the Twins since they paint other vehicles in the same manner.
Just transferring what certain people close to Toyota are saying currently. Maybe it is a coincidence, but still weird to mention the sag problem after so many years. Same about the paint process. Especially now that they are supposed to prepare the 2nd generation. Who knows.

Maybe they are again on their up and downs in their relation for this particular project. It is not a new thing. It happened in the past again.

Oh there are plenty of reasons that they could drop it but saggy bumpers and hard (not soft as so often said) paint are not indicators of anything.

Oh yes, these cannot not be the real reasons. From my point of view, they are not actual issues at all. Not even previous arguments about engine quality problems of Subaru. Unless they want to pretend and don't want to point out the real problems.

Subaru is just going smaller on engines so they can replace spark plugs faster.

If the engine is smaller...does that mean the torque dip is smaller too?

that's where i've wanted to put a vent for quite a while. hopefully the fenders are interchangeable, though it looks like the lower ground effect is part of it...

At least half of it does look to be fake in that picture. At least they didn't try to put it on the door.
