2017 86 progression of insanity thread
Looong time lurker (joined 2012) first time thread starter.
Picked up a CPO '17 Wednesday when I traded my decked out but I was bored of it 2010 CrewMax Tundra. Holy polar opposite Batman! I have already ordered a bunch of parts and am meeting a member to get a Nameless header later today. More to come! |

Thanks!
Fun drive home, had just enough power to keep a Raptor behind me. Do the '17s have more power stock? It's not the dog (when the revs are kept up) I have heard it would be. |

5hp more. Negligible, but that paired with the shorter gearing helps a little bit with acceleration.

Thanks!
Can you recommend a shop in the valley that knows these cars & won't take advantage? I came from Tundras.com, there was an AZ marketplace thread I looked but didn't see one here. Here's the Tundra I traded in for the 86. https://www.tundras.com/threads/2010...-thread.30651/ EDIT. I'm an idiot, found the regional area. :P Last edited by e30cabrio; 06-06-2020 at 01:25 PM. |

Since June I have done a bunch.
The catback came last week, I ordered the over/frontpipe from Nameless and am waiting for the 6-8 week build. I also got Whiteline endlinks & Blox front & rear sways. Last edited by e30cabrio; 10-06-2020 at 10:36 PM. |

There is a large rock and plastic weed barrier that has needed to be fixed for far too long. No rats.
It took some doing but I found a seller in Malaysia that was willing to ship to the US. Apparently we have ripped most of the web sellers down under off. |
